We are pleased to make available to you an interview with Dennis Hawkins-Bogle, writer and performer of the play “The Blue Taffeta Party Dress and Other Stories”.
The interview will be running three times a week, Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 3:30 up until the day of the show, Sept 25.
The Blue Taffeta Party Dress “is a story about seeking justice through resistance, choosing authenticity over fear, joy over judgment, and community over isolation. It’s not just about coming out. It’s about coming into a life fully lived,” says Hawkins-Bogle.
- Where: Cumberland’s Weird Church at 2688 Penrith Avenue in Cumberland.
- When: September 25, 2026.
- Timing: Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the show starting at 7:00 p.m., including a 15-minute intermission.
- Event Details: The evening of storytelling and theatre, written and performed by Dennis Hawkins-Bogle, explores themes of coming out, justice, and community.
- Tickets: Admission is $27 (taxes included) and can be purchased at queercentre.tickit.ca.
- Proceeds from the show will support Queer Centre Comox Valley. This show contains mature content and is suited for an audience over the age of 16 years.
