Volunteer Agreement

We expect you to:

  • Be honest and transparent at all times
  • Ask about things you don’t understand
  • Provide in a timely manner, any media recorded for DIGFM
  • Be unimpaired by drugs or alcohol in any show or event 
  • Understand that your activities as a volunteer may include a risk of physical injury, and that you may be exposed to hazards arising from vehicular travel, use of tools and equipment, exposure to environmental hazards, strenuous manual labor, or other activities
  • Assume all risks associated with such hazards arising from my volunteer activities.
  • Refrain from threatening, bullying, intimidating or harassing (verbally, sexually, physically, online, or by other means) any volunteers, staff, or members of the public.  Harassment may include paying people an unreasonable amount of attention.
  • Do raise issues of anti-social or inappropriate behaviour by another volunteer or staff member with a manager or director, in confidence
  • Refrain from using DIGFM facilities for personal purposes or otherwise inappropriately

Failure to comply with the terms of this agreement may result in disciplinary action as deemed appropriate by management and the Board of Directors. Such action may include suspension for a period as determined on a case by case basis, removal of a program(s) from the schedule, and/or loss of privileges. You have the right to appeal a disciplinary decision or recommendation to the Board of Directors. 

The completion of a volunteer application is a sign that you have read, understood, and agreed with the terms of this agreement, and will strive to fulfill all parts therein.

You give DIGFM permission to use any content or material you create for DIGFM, for coverage or promotion on any platforms or distribution methods that exist now and in the future.

Note that this agreement is in honour only and is not intended to be a legally binding contract of employment.
