In the second episode of Ancestral Echoes Season 4, Mariah Andrews, a retired early childhood educator, beadwork artist, and proud grandmother from the Yukon, continues her conversation with Cheri. Together, they explore everything from the Artemis II mission and Indigenous knowledge in space exploration to aliens, imagination, and the stories that help us make sense of the world. Rooted in mutual respect and a genuine desire to learn from one another, their conversation is a warm reflection on culture, connection, and finding common ground in unexpected places. 

This episode features the Ḵ̕umuxs Welcome Song (permission to use this song was graciously provided by the K’ómoks First Nation) and Dzimes Chō by Oscar Dennis. This Tahltan song is about Dzimes Cho (Nightingale), the smallest bird in Tahltan Territory, whose unusual ability to relocate its eggs and young earned it the name “Big Bird.”
